Robert Vance already knew that life had something more to offer than working for somebody else for 45 years in a traditional job. Working long hours in the IT industry made Robert realize that if they were going to escape the rat race, they had to look outside the box. He had Very Long hours and traveled extensively. He made plenty of money to support their family, but did not have the time for any family life. His health and sanity were deteriorating because of the unbelievable amount of stress, and he felt trapped in a high-paying high-stress job. Since his family had no other source of income, he really felt he had no way out.
 
His life took a drastic turn in 2004 when he was effected by corporate downsizing and took a substantial pay cut. This made him
look at an opportunity introduced to him by his brother-in-law. I remember thinking about my past experiences with the industry. As I did my research I found that there was something special about USANA and I believed that this was the right vehicle for me to take control of my life and be able to positively impact the lives of others.
 
This business isn't easy, but it is simple. Like any business, there's hard work involved - and it's fun! We hadn't counted on the friends we'd make in this business - people of various backgrounds that we've built lasting friendships with. This business has given his family of 8 opportunities to travel and enjoy their life together.
