Lisa Moser

Lisa Moser has always known the power of dreaming big and reaching to achieve lofty goals. As a young woman, Lisa competed in the Miss USA pageant representing the state of Ohio. A few years later after marrying the love of her life, Don, she returned to pageantry and captured the title of Mrs. USA International in 1999. She went on to take 2nd runner-up in the world at the Mrs. International competition. What set Lisa apart from her competitors was her passion for promoting a lifestyle of total health and her commitment to share her vision with others. During her reign, she became the national spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association, as both her husband and daughter are type 1 diabetic. Additionally, Lisa is a diabetes advocate, educator, and the author of a children’s book.

After the birth of their fourth child in 2004, Don and Lisa decided that her working outside of the home was not something that they wanted for their family. However, they also knew that going from a dual income to a single income family was not going to be easy. Lisa had worked as a hairstylist for 20 years and made a solid income but had to adjust to not having that income stream anymore. “Trading dollars for hours was all I knew,” said Lisa. “I didn’t even know what residual income meant.” In the fall of 2005, a dear friend who shared Lisa’s enthusiasm for health and wellness introduced the Moser’s to USANA. This was the third time that Rochelle Lunt had approached them about the benefits of owning a home-based business and the power of network marketing. This time they caught the vision and were ready to build their business.

On the day they were to begin this new venture, their nine-year-old daughter was hospitalized and diagnosed with diabetes. The Moser’s were devastated and thought there was no way they could find the time to build a USANA business now. Lisa had to monitor her daughter’s condition around the clock, with a regimen of 4 shots of insulin and testing blood glucose levels 8-10 times a day. With her two small boys in tow, Lisa would drive to her daughter’s school everyday to help her with a lunchtime shot and glucose testing. “Where on earth was I going to find time at this point in my life to work USANA?” But Lisa remembers the day when it hit her that she HAD to share USANA with everyone she knows. “People have to take their health seriously, we need to educate people about USANA’s mission and get the word out”.

So together with her husband they quickly built a dynamic team focused on spreading the USANA vision of “True Health and True Wealth”. To the Moser’s, the benefits of owning a home-based business by far outweighs a more traditional nine to five job. Some of those benefits include being able to spend time traveling with their children and showing them that life is about doing things you love and are passionate about. Lisa says, “To me, it’s about making memories, not just giving your children material things. It seems in today’s world parents are working 60-80 hours a week to get ahead and give their children “things” when really all their children want is them. USANA is helping us do just that, be there for them. Being able to work with loved ones and to help them be successful has been so gratifying for us. USANA has made all of this possible. Dream big, it’s a powerful thing!” (Disclaimer)
