Joyce & Vernon (Jake) Jacobsen

When
Joyce & Vernon (Jake) Jacobsen visited their daughter, Kris Weaver,
in Vernal, UT, at Christmas time 2000, little did they realize they
would be in for a lifestyle change. Kris & Rod along with
their upline, Lee Slaugh, showed the USANA presentation to Joyce and
Jake. Joyce immediately saw the business potential and wanted to
get involved, Jake was more reluctant having been involved in other
network marketing companies, but wanted to try the USANA®
products. After much discussion they decided to sign up and work
the business together for a year. On the 480-mile trip back to
Burlington, CO, they listened to the STI Basic Training kit. They
were excited and ready to go to work. They listened in on
conference calls and read all the
information they could on the USANA opportunity.
Three weeks later, Lee Slaugh (Achiever at the time and now Gold
Director) drove to Burlington and helped them show the presentation to
new prospects. They became very teachable and began to see their
business grow.
They flew
to Salt Lake City for the International Convention in July. During
an STI dinner event, they were both recognized as new STI Team
Leaders having
achieved this only one week before convention. This is what Joyce
had to say about the convention. "Convention 2001 - what an
awesome learning experience! It was absolutely phenomenal!
Nothing surpasses the passion we have for USANA and the USANA family.
It is so important to attend these exciting events. Make sure your
whole organization attends Convention 2002." For the past 15 years, Jake and Joyce have owned a custom harvesting business with their son Leland and wife, Alison. During the summer months, they travel from Texas to North Dakota and into Canada. Although they are busy with the harvest run, they still make time for their USANA business. "We feel our weekly presentations are a huge part of our success. We've had incredible support from our upline and all of the STI organization. The relationships we have already built are truly life long friendships. This is truly motivating for our business. Thanks to our organization for your continued support and team work and THANK YOU Dr. Wentz for USANA! " |
