Carolyn & Paul Edwards
Whangarei, New Zealand

When Carolyn was first introduced to USANA, Paul was actually on holiday in Northland, New Zealand. Upon his return home, Carolyn broke it to Paul gently”, “I’ve um … we’ve got a new …  erm … business” she said.

Having had a previous long term (stressful) involvement with another Network Marketing company, Paul’s initial reaction was quite negative.  “I wasn’t happy at all, but I know how switched on Carolyn is, and her mind was made up, so against what I was feeling at the time, I chose to support her.”

Carolyn & Paul had just relocated their family to Auckland to be near Carolyn’s Mum who was suffering from failing health.  Paul worked for the Department of Corrections and the family rented in a Prison staff housing village.  “We had maxed out credit cards, department store cards and we’re pretty sure our library card was over the limit as well, we were struggling financially”.  Carolyn secured a position with a personnel agency which required her to make a 60 minute commute twice daily.  “I was a working mother who was getting very little quality time to spend with my family, so I was definitely in the looking zone” she recalls.

Her previous involvement with Network Marketing was about to pay off.  Carolyn attended a USANA Business opportunity meeting and as the presentation unfolded, it became abundantly clear that she was looking at a superior opportunity.  “The difference was so staggering, I walked to the front of the room and grabbed the presenter by the arm and made an appointment to see her the next day.”

The rest as they say is history.  After a number years of building their USANA business, Paul was able to resign from his fulltime job at the prison.  “Once our USANA business was earning us far in excess of my departmental salary, we decided it was time for me to spend more time at home, so I resigned”.

The couple made the decision to move the family to Whangarei in Northland for the lifestyle this part of the country offers.   They bought a 6 acre property on the outskirts of town, nestled amongst native trees. Located 5 minutes drive from Whangarei harbour where fishing and scuba diving are just a few recreational activities they now enjoy, the family boat was soon to follow.  “When we think of what our lives and circumstances were like before discovering USANA, it’s almost like a fairytale … to us.  We‘ve transformed our lives, and been able to touch the lives of so many others who we’ve introduced to the products and the business.  Thank you USANA”.
