Kathryn is passionate about USANA, saying “It has changed my life!!” 

She was born in Orem, Utah in 1953, being raised near her grandfather’s farm.  Twenty-five years later she married her college sweetheart, Chris, and together they raised three children--Courtney, Fortune and Michael.  As of this writing, they have two beautiful grand-daughters, Kirsten and Katelyn. 

From her earliest recollections, Kathryn remembers she wanted to be a nurse.  Her first BA degree from Brigham Young University was in University Studies, with minors in Child Development and Family Relations, English (says she feels like a poet at heart), and Asian Studies (having served an LDS mission in Japan 1971-1973). 

Raising a family took all of Kathryn’s time when their children were young.  As part of Chris’ corporate work during those years, they lived in various parts of the United States, as well as living abroad in Switzerland in 1984.  Kathryn remembers those years of traveling with fondness, and recalls that Chris is great fun to travel with, explaining that he’s a linguist and speaks French, German  and Italian fluently. 

Kathryn has always lived a fast-paced life, and loves to be challenged.  Once their youngest child started into the first grade, she was left with extra time on her hands and started pursuing her life-long dream to become a nurse, entering the University of Utah’s College of Nursing.  She completed both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing, and graduated in 1999, Board-Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  Since she enjoys the challenge of being an entrepreneur, Chris encouraged her to open her own private medical practice in Holladay, Utah.  She first opened her doors in 2002 as Olympus Cove Healthcare.  Through a series of events, she became aware of the need for treatments using natural or bio-identical hormones rather than the synthetic ones she had been introduced to during her medical studies.  Through this specialty area, she became aware of the critical importance of cellular nutrition and anti-oxidant protection.  When Jeremy Stansfield showed her the Usana opportunity, Kathryn jumped at the chance to activate three business centers and has been enthusiastically using Usana products to improve the lives of her patients ever since. She changed the name of her medical practice to Utah Weight Loss and Natural Hormone Clinic, and treats both men and women.

Chris worked as a linguist and programmer for 28 years and was looking at another 10 years of employment in corporate America.  Kathryn's adoption of Usana products in the clinic gave him the opportunity to fire his boss and pursue his Usana business full time.  In addition, he lost 32 pounds with the Reset program and has experienced significant health benefits from the entire Usana product line. 

The discovery of USANA opened the door to wonderful opportunities.  Direct marketing has been a great vehicle for personal growth in many areas of their lives.  Without this wonderful gift, we would not have been put on the path towards true health and personal freedom.  We are so grateful to USANA and to a wonderful support team of new friends who have become an important part of our lives!
