“We were very entrepreneurial but had pretty negative ideas about what network marketing meant,” Says Helen, “I always said I wasn’t going to sell to my friends, that I had to believe in the product, and there had to be room for growth. Until USANA I couldn’t see network marketing working for me – it turned out I’d had a lot of misconceptions” Shortly after getting started, Helen decided to sell her health business and Chris left teaching so they could both work their USANA business full-time. “It was awesome to be collected by helicopter on my last day at school with my wife, our sponsors and our very first associate!” laughs Chris. Reaching Gold Director after a year, and going on to Ruby just two months later is a result of working hard with their team. “It hasn’t always been easy,” says Helen, “lots of my closest friends thought I was mad to sell a successful business and focus on USANA! Lots of people have the same misconceptions I did – and that can be frustrating if someone won’t even look at the products – they miss out on so much! But we never force the issue with anyone. We started out working with just two close friends and now our business spans 7 countries around the world – it’s amazing to think that’s where it all began for us.” Helen and Chris encourage their team to go after their goals, and make them happen – and say taking action and thinking outside the confines of the rat race is the answer. The support and mentoring from their upline Diamonds in Success Team International has played a huge part in their success, “Being able to learn from people who are already very successful, who have so much knowledge – and to get that education for free… it’s just incredible.” “There’s so much room for growth in the world with USANA,” says Chris, “our business is only just beginning!” |
