Chris Folland & Fiona Jamieson-Folland

When Fiona signed her application form to start her USANA® business in February 2003, she was already running a busy Corporate Wellness business with her sister…who turned out to be her sponsor.   Fiona’s experience over the previous 8 years of running her own health centers meant that she was already clear about the hard work needed to run your own business.

Chris’ background as a lawyer, business consultant and busy full time property investor meant he already had his hands full.  Having already tried his hand at network marketing, Chris was not interested at all when he learned USANA used the power of networking as a distribution model.  In the weeks and months after Fiona got started he watched the leveraged income rising from her part time business, and he became intrigued.  “I completely misunderstood USANA when I first learned about it – I under-estimated the power of this business model and the calibre of the products”

One thing that they’d already learned before they started their USANA business is that when you help enough people get what they want, then you can get what you want.  “It’s been amazing to apply that principle so effectively within this business model,” says Chris.

Educating and training people in how to go from where they are to a place they want to be is like a dream come true for Fiona and Chris.  A far cry from their former conception that MLM was all about hassling your friends and selling people things they don’t want.

Becoming Diamond after just 20 months has meant big changes for Chris & Fiona.  “It’s not just our income that’s changed,” says Fiona,  “the biggest difference has been in being able to work with each other and with family and friends towards a common goal.”  This means spending more quality, fun time together, as well as getting a good day’s work done.  (Disclaimer)

Chris and Fiona have found working in their USANA business so refreshing compared with their previous lifestyles.  “Before USANA our lifestyle involved rarely seeing one another, permanently working long hours and always having the sense there must be more to life!” laughs Fiona.  “The income that your own business can bring is a gift, but without the health that comes with time freedom, the money wouldn’t mean anything.”  (Disclaimer)

And the key to their success?  They have learned it’s vital to choose their mentors wisely and they’re thrilled to work so closely with a very dynamic team.  “We’ve made a point of meeting regularly with our sponsors Chris & Helen Bolton-Jamieson,” says Fiona with a smile, “we’ve all come a long way since we first got started!”

And they don’t limit themselves to their own country either, “We also keep in touch with other incredibly inspirational people overseas - like Brian and Jennifer Douglas, and Jeremy and Diane Stansfield.  They keep us reaching that little bit further – and they provide important practical and strategy advice,” says Chris.
