It didn’t take Bruce and Trish long to decide to start their USANA business when they were first introduced to the company. Bruce ran a commercial photographic lab, which the couple had started together in 1987. Although it was a very successful company and they felt financially secure, it demanded a great deal of energy and commitment to run. With 3 young children at home and another on the way, life was very full for Bruce and Trish.

The timing was right for them, as Bruce explains, “I knew that I was spending so much time at the lab that I was essentially missing my children growing up, and if I didn’t make a change then I would completely miss out. I also realized that in building the business working those long hours, I had paid a price, trading my health and wellbeing for dollars.”

USANA seemed like the right solution. Build another income stream, a residual income stream, and take a proactive role in ones health. With no previous experience in Network Marketing they were determined to learn this new industry. Fortunately for them they had joined a great team - STI and had the support and mentorship to help them grow their business in what was then a new market. One of the first major realizations was the power that nutrition plays in ones health. As a result both Bruce and Trish developed a strong passion towards the USANA products and the vision of Dr. Wentz.

After 2 years working the business part time they decided to sell their photographic lab and concentrate on their USANA business. There have been plenty of sacrifices and hard work along the way. By keeping their eyes on the goal they have managed to build a very strong international business that stretches around the globe. Bruce says, “One of the main benefits from building the business is working with so many amazing positive people. We have made so many great friends along the way. I feel so privileged that we found USANA when we did and took action.”

What started as a dream, to have a more balanced life, spend quality time with family and friends, have less stress and feel great about the future has all come true. Bruce, Trish and their 4 children now live on a beautiful lifestyle block in their new house, near the coast in Northland, New Zealand. Horse riding, surfing, fishing and the outdoors are all at their fingertips. Being able to work their USANA business from home, fitting the business around family life, is simply a dream come true.
